Pilates: Your Building Blocks

Great for those with no Pilates experience, and equally great if you do. This mixed abilities group mat class uses small props, like weights, bands and balls. Move through a full range of exercises that take a holistic approach to the body. Expect a low impact workout aimed to support and promote your movement potential at every stage.

Cost: £15 per class (£12 per class with a 6 Class Package)

Time: Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30pm

Additional class starts 3 July: Wednesdays 5:15 - 6:15pm

About Carrie McGinn

I love Pilates. I really, truly love Pilates. And I remember the exact moment during my teacher training that I truly understood why.

It was an anatomical connection. I felt, from the inside out, what was actually happening when I inhaled, when I exhaled, and then moved. It was a lightbulb moment for me. I was breathing, concentrating and in control. My mind and body felt connected, coordinated. And the movement just flowed. All I was doing was a Pelvic Tilt, but it was all there and it made sense to me.

I teach Pilates from this place. I want my clients to find connections of their own that mean something to them. So that they feel better in their own bodies and in how they move everyday. Whether that starts from a place of pain or discomfort, or just a keenness for experimenting with movement, my passion lies in helping everybody find that connection.
