This is a chair-modified yoga class which is suitable for all ages. This class gives chair-based variations on the classic poses - you will find your mountain and warrior poses here!

Whilst the focus is about maintaining strength and flexibility it’s still a very relaxing class. This hour long chair yoga class will include yoga poses, gentle yoga flows and stretching sequences, pranayama (breathing practices), some meditation and of course relaxation.

Payment options for your first class

  • You can purchase a space here on Eventbrite, however, please note that Eventbrite add its own fee to the ticket price.
  • You can email events@duncanplace.org and we will send you a payment link for £3.
  • You can pop into Duncan Place Community Hub before the event and pay £3 in cash or card.

After attending your first class, future classes can be paid in cash or card in person each week.

**Please arrive five minutes beforehand so classes can start on time.**

Participant Information

Comfy loose clothes are recommended. Grippy socks or soft bendy shoes (like sneakers) are best for footwear!
It’s an ideal class if you are recovering from any injury or illness or lack some of the mobility for the floor and standing poses.

Yonnie Fraser

Yonnie FraserYonnie has worked with children and young people in creative projects all over Scotland for the last 25 years. She would often begin the day by guiding staff and children through a short yoga practice and her commitment to furthering her yoga training and teaching stemmed from this time. Yonnie completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in a small yoga studio in Jaipur and has since gone on to train in yoga mudra, family yoga, yoga and autism and chair yoga. Her yoga teaching is rooted in inclusivity and (being older herself) she loves working with seniors as well as all the other ages! She has recently completed an advanced yoga teacher training in psychologically-sensitive Yoga.
