AKA Radical Imaginings
Scottish writer. I specialise in short stories that explore emotions, personal relationships and the beauty of mundanity. I am working on my first book (slowly!)that looks at female friendship as a radical space, and also at class dynamics in Edinburgh.
I have been running Radical Imaginings creative writing workshops for a year. I love having the chance to meet like-minded writers, get inspired and create a low-pressure creative space each month. A big obstacle to my creativity is giving myself set time to write. The workshops provide assigned time to find your inspiration and do some writing.
The idea behind Radical Imaginings came to me when I was thinking about why it is that I actually want to be a writer. To me, writing, imaging and reflecting creatively are such a radical deviation from the 'productivity' and 'hussle' mindset of today's mainstream culture, in which, for anything to be worthwhile, it has to be commodifiable. F that!!! Imagining other ways of being is a radical act to me. If you agree or are interested in thinking about alternative modes of creativity further, then this workshop is the place for you.

Workshops take place on the second Monday of the month. They run monthly at Duncan Place, Leith at 6.30. They are 1 hour long.
