{Jam} Coding Computer Workshops
Our coding clubs are here! Join our computer workshop anytime, minimum monthly commitment. For learners aged 6-12 these courses cover a range of coding and computing-related topics in an immersive and engaging experience. SUMMER TERM (April 30th - June 25th): Game building. This computer workshop teaches learners how to code using platform games and Microsoft's Game Lab. In this course, aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence, learners will create algorithms using visual block coding and build their own Computer Game. From Flappy Birds to Candy Crush, kids have consistently shown their ability to develop good games, this computer workshop will teach them how to do this. Game coding teaches children to develop a structured thought process and promotes logical thinking!
Jam Coding is one of the largest providers of Computing Education in the UK. Our mission is to deliver life skills to the next generation of digital citizens. Digital skills are more than being able to code and use a computer. They extend to safe usage, the digital opportunity and digital resilience. We believe that young people should be educated in all these digital skills. Learners graduate from our workshops knowing the importance of coding and digital skills. They learn what they can achieve through coding and computing. Just as importantly, they have fun and make friends along the way…
