This free climate workshop/community discussion is in partnership with Edinburgh Communities Climate Action Network (ECCAN).
Do you have a story to share around unusual weather or climate events in Edinburgh? We’d love to hear it! To do that, we’re organising a Climate Workshop, to discuss everyone’s experiences and what climate adaptation can look like for our community. Whether it is the wind keeping you up at night, changes in your garden or just the weather not making sense – we would welcome you to join us and share your thoughts over a bowl of warm soup.
This is taking place in the context of the Climate Ready South East Scotland project. Edinburgh’s climate is already changing, and will continue to do so. This means more extreme weather; hotter, drier summers, wetter winters, and rising sea levels. These changes will affect our communities, and the places we care about – where we live, work and play. This project aims to better understand how climate change will affect our region and highlight where more action is needed to protect the places we live, so that our communities can flourish in a changing climate.
Not able to make on the day, you can add your story to the StoryMap in your own time!
This event is for adults aged 16+.
