Who we are

Duncan Place is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation. We are a charity registered in Scotland SC048100. Our registered office is Duncan Place Community Hub, 4 Duncan Place, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 8HW.

This privacy notice tells you what data we collect and what we use it for.

What information do we collect?

Information captured on our CCTV system will usually only include images of staff and visitors when they:

  • enter & leave the premises via the external gate
  • are in the outside area
  • enter and leave the building via the main front door and/ or fire exit
  • when in the reception area, corridors & stairwells

CCTV records images only, not audio.

How we use the information?

The use of CCTV monitoring is for the purposes of security and crime prevention and detection.

We will only disclose CCTV recordings or images to third parties such as the Police to comply with a legal obligation, or where legally permitted, such as for crime prevention and detection.

All CCTV recordings are retained for a period of 30 days and automatically deleted thereafter. We only process CCTV images and recordings within the UK.

Your rights over your information

By law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate.

You can also ask us to give you a copy of the information and to stop using your information.
